Lonely Mountains: Downhill is getting a new update that brings some challenging twists to the daily rides.
If you’re unfamiliar with Daily Rides are Lonely Mountains: Downhill’s Way of Challenging Players to Take a Whole New Course Every Day, essentially providing a great way to come back for new content and challenges every day. Now, as you can see in the trailer just below, a brand new update to the game brings a new twist to these challenges by implementing difficulty modifiers.
Seems like a great new way to bring players back to Lonely Mountains: Downhill (and why the hell wouldn’t you want a game this good?). For example, one new modifier changes control points, while another grants the player infinite stamina, which can be very dangerous when used in large quantities without worrying about your safety.
Alternatively, another difficulty modifier grants the player more control over their bike while in the air, while the Double Bonus modifier does exactly what it says on the tin, granting players double points for their races over. There’s also the mirror mode, which as you can probably imagine, really makes things chaotic for players looking to get the best time possible on the commute.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill is absolutely fantastic, and we highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t dived into the Megagon racing game yet (and hey, it’s even on Xbox Game Pass). If you are unfamiliar with this is a nice, simplistic racing game, which challenges players through changing perspectives and increasingly difficult courses and tracks through changing environments and more.
The new difficulty modifier update launched yesterday July 8 and is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch. The Daily Rides have been a big push for players to get back into the game of Megagon in the first place, and the new difficulty modifier update is just the icing on the cake.
